Mohair International Weaves Together Baby Mo and Hinterveld, Delivering More Fine Mohair Gift and Decor Items to AmericasMart in Atlanta

Lindy Lieberman arrives at AmericasMart with more mohair decorating options than ever before by joining her hand-loomed South African items – sold under the Baby Mo label (http://babymo-usa.com/index.htm) – with four exclusive lines from Hinterveld, a renowned maker of yarns and woven goods. The combination is Mohair International, (http://www.mohairinternational.com) with offices outside Boston.

"Hinterveld's forward looking designs include beautiful lustrous colors plus advanced manufacturing technology that delivers quality and quantity that means we can supply larger retail stores," Lieberman says. "Together, we bring a unique mix of textures – the best yarns and weaving – to create remarkable throws and blankets and a range of other items."

The combination adds four new product ranges from Hinterveld (http://www.hinterveld.com), she adds, including bold stripes and subtle geometric patterns updated for contemporary living. Choose from vibrant contrasting colors, gentle earth tones and modern block and stripe patterns. One collection includes herringbone patterns in yarns that combine Merino Wool and superfine Kid (baby) Mohair (http://www.babymo-usa.com/html/about.htm). Some of these distinctive items add the convenience of being machine washable. They add creative comfort and style to indoor and outdoor use.

South Africa's heritage and color palette are evident with pastels that reflect the region's natural environment, hues from plants such as the fynbos play with deep chocolates. Designed for year-round use, these blankets and throws 'breathe' to keep your body cool in warmer weather and cozy insulating layers in winter.

Named for South Africa's grassy plains, Hinterveld is part of The Stucken Group, an international leader in mohair since 1951 and parent company of Mohair Spinners of South Africa (MSSA). The companies supply yarns to both Hinterveld and Baby Mo. Lieberman, a South African native, began importing mohair goods more than a decade ago for her successful interior design business, Lifestyle Living Spaces. She later started a company to distribute Baby Mo items to more than 100 North American shops and boutiques.

Kid mohair – often called baby mohair (http://babymo-usa.com/about.htm) – women's jackets comes from the first shearing of Angora goats less than a year old. South Africa produces the majority of the world's baby mohair and weaves it into soft, luxurious décor items, clothing and accessories. The results are lightweight, packable, wrinkle-free and uniquely warm. Lieberman's repertoire include wraps, throws, blankets plus clothing, hats, mittens, scarves and more.

Baby Mo (http://babymo-usa.com) crafts handmade items with complex, vibrant and alluring colors. Hand brushing and finishing creates a cloud-like texture and the fluff that distinguishes mohair from other woven goods.

Mohair International will be at AmericasMart Building 2 West Wing-High Design, Booth W1-0523 starting Friday Jan 13th. the company also appears at The NY International Gift Fair in Booth 8022 on Jan. 29th.

MOHAIR INTERNATIONAL is the leading importer of South African mohair products. Both Hinterveld and Baby Mo woven and knitted throws and blankets are unrivalled in color, quality and design. These high-quality luxury goods provide economic opportunity for women and unique craft goods that make outstanding gifts and home décor selections found nowhere else.
